The last day of the year I was able to package the new version of firmware and config tools. Unfortunately it is not compatible with the version of IOS microDrum (I’m working on …). I fixed many bugs in the firmware first and foremost a problem of compatibility with some MIDI devices. I worked a lot on the Config Tool, I have solved many bugs but the most important change is the separation between the interface code, and code management mD …. so it will be easier to work with otherinterfaces.
I am working on an interface for MacOS / Linux, but I realized that Mono (for MacOS) has a bug on the management of the speed of the serial that keeps me from finishing the job. In the coming days will release the work over here as Open Source in the Developer section.
Finally open source speech. I see that donations will not work … blame for the crisis. So I think that will change strategy. I will release the code on the basis of the numerical targets: 100 users registered on the forum, 1000 schema download, 1000 firmware download, 500 facebook ‘like’ etc. ….. If you are interested in open source spread the word, more and more people we can work with the code once released.

L’ultimo giorno dell’anno sono riuscito a confezionare la nuova versione del firmware e del config tool. Sfortunatamente non è compatibile con la versione iOS di microDrum (ci sto lavorando…). Ho risolto molti bug nel firmware primo fra tutti un problema di compatibilità con alcune periferiche MIDI. Ho lavorato molto anche sul Config Tool, ho risolto molti bug ma la modifica più importante è la separazione tra il codice dell’interfaccia e il codice di gestione della mD….in questo modo sarà più facile lavorare ad altre interfacce.
Sto lavorando ad una interfaccia per MacOS/Linux ma mi sono accorto che Mono (per MacOs) ha un bug sulla gestione della velocità della seriale che mi impedisce di finire il lavoro. Nei prossimi giorni rilascerò il lavoro svolto fin qua come Open Source nella sezione Developer.
Per finire discorso Open Source. Vedo che le donazioni non funzionano…sarà colpa della crisi. Penso allora che modificherò strategia. Rilascerò il codice come Open Source un po’ alla volta in base a dei traguardi numerici: 100 utenti registrati sul forum, 1000 download dello schema, 1000 download del firmware, 500 like su facebook ecc….. Se vi interessa l’open source diffondete la voce, più siamo più persone potranno lavorare al codice una volta rilasciato.
