P.S in case anyone is wondering… I am using “wire glue” (conductive glue) instead of solder. The best way to apply it is with a toothpick. The consistency is like paint, so you have to wait a while for it to dry. Sometimes I apply several coats to make sure there is a good connection.
Make sure you don’t use too much though! It has a tendency to drip down in the cracks between socket pins if you use too much, thereby shorting your pins together.
When I’m done building and everything’s tested, I’m going to “seal” it with some Elmer’s glue to make the connections stronger.
